Two Decades of Creative Excellence
A journey through time, passion, and innovation. From our humble beginnings to becoming a reference point in luxury content creation.
The Beginning
At the start of the 2000s, in 2001, Luca Stazzoni opens his first photographic production studio. It is a fully analog era: photography is shot on film, the internet is not yet a working tool, and processes are slow—built on rigor and method. Alongside the path that will lead him to graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Luca takes on his first small productions, building skills and experience directly on set. From the very beginning, the goal is not a single author, but a structure: a studio designed to work as a team, manage complex productions, and combine dynamism with aesthetic quality. It is a vision that, over time, will become the foundation of Tailer Darden Creative Studio.
Darden Studio
Passionate about photography since he was young, Mattia Voso develops over time a minimal and clean visual language, with constant attention to light and image construction. While working toward his Master’s degree in Statistics, he meets Luca Stazzoni: their exchange leads him to specialize in fashion and beauty photography, bringing into the studio a precise and methodical approach, where control, consistency, and attention to detail become part of the process. In 2009, Darden Studio is born—its name inspired by a film that marked us: from the boxing ring of the big screen we took a sound and made it our own, until it became a studio.
H24 — 24 hours of live set
In 2010, Darden Studio creates H24, an event conceived for Pitti Uomo and presented as an “off-site” during the January 2011 edition. For 24 consecutive hours, the studio stages a live photographic show: a sequence of sets alternating without interruption, turning production into a performance and covering an entire working day in front of an audience. The format—new and original—receives strong feedback and becomes a turning point also in terms of relationships: from that moment, collaborations intensify with key brands in the photography industry such as Hasselblad, Profoto, Fujifilm, Wacom, EIZO, and Capture One. Even today, the studio continues to design bespoke events, including live sets, shows, broadcasts, and tailored training moments.
Tailer Studio
Alessio Rio is a still life photographer with a minimal and clean style. During his degree in photography, he refines a precise control of object lighting, even on complex materials and surfaces. In 2010 he meets Luca and Mattia and, through their exchange, strengthens a technical and rigorous method. The team develops a creative sensitivity in interpreting luxury-segment products, finding solutions that enhance their identity and details. In 2012, Tailer Studio is born—Darden Studio’s alter ego: a division dedicated to high-end still life in the luxury sector. This phase also shapes a strategic choice: two distinct and complementary identities—Darden for fashion and beauty, Tailer for still life—making the offer clearer and more specialized, while maintaining a shared vision.
Overseas
From 2017, the first international productions arrive. The first photo shoot in Miami marks an important recognition for the studio: creativity, aesthetics, and dynamism are appreciated overseas as well. In the same period comes the first assignment as Director of Photography for fashion shoots in Namibia, confirming the ability to work even in complex and remote contexts.
High watchmaking in Switzerland
In 2018, Darden Studio and Tailer Studio enter the world of high watchmaking, with the first assignments linked to the Swiss market. It is an important step: a sector where precision, attention to detail, and respect for the product are essential—and where imagery becomes part of a brand’s reputation. In the following years, numerous editorial shoots take place, centered on some of the most prestigious maisons in the world such as Patek Philippe, Roger Dubuis, Ulysse Nardin, Glashütte Original, and Cartier. For us, it has been an honor to work on these projects and photograph some of the most iconic brands in their homeland: what once was a dream becomes reality.
Luxury menswear: first ADV campaigns in Italy
After the first collaborations between the luxury menswear brand Stefano Ricci and Darden Studio, in 2018 the studio signs its first international advertising campaign. Following the brand’s claim, Honour Power Pride, a series of traveling campaigns takes shape to tell the story of Italy’s Great Beauty: Venice, the Royal Palace of Caserta, the marble quarries of Carrara, Mantua, the island of Capri, and Florence—home city and meeting place between the studio and Stefano Ricci.
Luxor: fashion show and iconic imagery
In 2022, Darden Studio is chosen to document in Egypt one of the most important events in Stefano Ricci’s history. On the occasion of the brand’s 50th anniversary, the runway show takes place at the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, with 400 international guests and 45 models. During the event days, the studio photographs the show, and in the days that follow it creates a series of iconic images between Luxor, along the Nile, and the Temple of Hatshepsut—capturing the places and the unique atmosphere of those days.
Motion & automation
In the following years, the studio invests in experimenting with new solutions for the creation of high-impact and dynamic visual content. Also through the use of techniques based on robotic arms and automated workflows, the studio develops new formats and camera movements, responding to a market constantly seeking novelty and ever-evolving languages—from e-commerce to commercials and social media content.
AI as a creative tool: the first campaigns
The studio explores artificial intelligence in a structured way, integrating it into creative and production processes as a tool for experimentation and expanding visual possibilities. AI becomes an ally to develop new languages, scenarios, and tailor-made solutions for brands—always with a conscious approach: studied and understood, without shortcuts or pre-packaged results. In 2025, this research fully enters practice: Darden Studio and Tailer Studio are called to create the trilogy The Impossible Worlds for Stefano Ricci: The Red Planet, Atlantis, and Epic Nature. Through these three chapters, the studio explores a hybrid territory between fashion, still life, video, and AI applied to luxury—experimenting with new forms of high-impact visual storytelling designed for digital.
Today
In 2026, Tailer Darden Creative Studio is born: the fusion of Darden Studio and Tailer Studio into a single project that expands and integrates areas of expertise. It is the moment when the two souls—until now complementary—finally come together under one identity. The experience gained over the years alongside growing brands and highly prestigious maisons evolves into a broader role: not only producing images and content, but also providing creative support to brands in defining communication directions, building coherent campaigns, and identifying the most effective solutions to reach their goals. Thus a structured creative studio is born—capable of combining cross-disciplinary skills, strategic vision, and advanced production capabilities, with its gaze constantly turned toward the future.
Tomorrow
It’s hard to know. But one thing is certain: we will continue to look at our work with curious and attentive eyes, always searching for new challenges that can help us grow. Change is part of our nature, as is the desire to explore new languages and push beyond what we know. If we haven’t collaborated yet, this might be the right time: tell us your challenge—we’ll be happy to listen, even just to understand it.
